Superintendent Finalist Interviews Scheduled For January 8 & 9

The Westside Community Schools Board of Education has named four finalists selected to interview as the next Superintendent of the district. The Board will interview the four finalists on January 8 & 9 at the times listed below. All interviews will take place at the ABC Building, 909 So. 76th St., Omaha, NE. Dr. Melissa Poloncic, Superintendent, Douglas County West Community Schools (Nebraska)
- Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
Dr. Rick Robins, Superintendent, Juab School District (Utah)
- Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.
Dr. Mike Lucas, Superintendent, York Public Schools (Nebraska)
- Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
Dr. Jeffrey Geihs, Associate Superintendent, Clark County Schools (Nevada)
- Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
Based on these meetings, the Board of Education will select their top candidates. Those individuals will be invited to tour the district and participate in a second round of interviews with students, staff, parents and community members on January 17.
The Board of Education will announce the new Superintendent of Westside Community Schools at the public Board meeting on January 21, 2019 at 6:30pm at the ABC Administration Building. Current Superintendent Dr. Blane McCann will retire at the conclusion of the 2018-2019 school year.
