Westside Student Named K-12 Tech Student of 2017
Emma Carlson, junior at Westside High School, has been selected as the K-12 Tech Student of 2017 for the AIM Tech Celebration Awards.
This award is presented annually to a tech-savvy high school or college student with an excellent work ethic and superior technological skills. This student has used their talents to help others understand how to leverage technology to reach new heights, gain efficiencies and improve capabilities.
Emma was nominated by Westside Middle School Teacher Kristeen Shabram, named the AIM Tech Educator of the Year in 2016.
“Emma is an exceptional young woman that is doing great things in the field information technology,” said Shabram. “She is advancing her own technology skills, as well as helping others by sharing her talents. I am so proud of Emma and I can’t wait to celebrate this achievement with her and her family!”
Emma will receive her award at the 2017 AIM Tech Celebration Awards on November 15 at the Omaha Design Center.
