Westside Promotes Inclusion
Posted March 4, 2019
At Westside Community Schools, we believe all students deserve to be included in the activities, fun, friendships, and learning of school. Westside High School is proud to be part of the Project Unify Campaign; Spread the Word to End the Word will take place on March 6th.
WHS Teachers are showing the following video to homeroom students. Students are also invited to sign a pledge to actively be part of the campaign to advocate for more inclusive language and behaviors for all students.
In partnership with Special Olympics Nebraska Westside is also excited to present our first All Elementary Inclusion Week March 11th through the 15th. During this week students are invited to participate in fun spirit themes and activities listed in this fun Inclusion Week flyer: CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS!
We know that the importance of being included is more than just a one-week event and hope that this opportunity draws attention to the actions each of us takes to make sure all students are included and welcome at school!
Thank you for your support and participation!
