Westside Early Childhood Center Seeking ‘Peer Models’
Westside Community Schools is looking for children ages 3-5 to learn alongside children with disabilities in a new Early Childhood Special Education classroom.
The District has seen an increasing number of verified preschool students and is opening the additional classroom second semester at Underwood Hills Early Learning Center. Organizers are seeking typically developing learners to learn alongside classmates with disabilities, students called ‘peer models’.
There are a limited number of slots available for morning and afternoon sessions; all families in the Westside Community School District are invited to apply. There is no charge associated with preschool services. Children must be ages 3-5, be developing according to their age, and be toilet-trained.
